Why did it have to happen to you, Sarah,
I didn't want to believe it was true
for when we were told what happened
my heart went out to you.
I know I said my goodbyes that day
but the sadness is still fresh in my head
and those words will never be forgotton
on the night we were told you were dead
You were unique in your own self
that's what made you, who you were
that person who knew how to party hard
and to never let anything get her down.
I know you are watching over us
from the brightest star in the sky
and seeing how much you were thought of
as we all say our goodbyes.
They say you don't miss what you have until it's gone
and I know that saying is true
because the times we did get together
I'm glad I found a friend in you.
